This was our 3rd visit to Daren over the past 2 1/2 years trying to capture our kids growing up and Daren has captured this perfectly knowing exactly what is needed with the kids at certain ages to keep them entertained and get the best photos possible. On this visit we met Daren and was immediately greeted with a cup of tea and friendly chat which put all of us including our 2 children at ease straight away. You never feel rushed and that you need to be out by a certain time. Daren has got the patience of a saint ecspecially with our 2 and 1/2 year old son who will only do what he wants but this did not phase Daren. The photoshoot started well with both our kids behaving and smiling for the camera. 10 minutes in Luke decided that he no longer wanted to have his photo taken and walked off into other room. Daren did not presurre us at all to get him back but carried on taking photos of Aimee. This carried on for about 15mins and still i did not feel pressure to call it a day. Then Luke returned and some great photos were taken which we may of never got if Daren was not so patient. We really wanted some photos of the kids together and with the no rush attitude and the interaction with the kids we left more than happy. Daren is by far the most professional photographer we have seen with the kids and would now not go to anyone else for our photos. The photos were on the website within 2 days and the only downfall i can see is trying to pick a favourite as they are all stunning shots. The finsihed articles are also great value for money and as you can imagine finished to the highest standards. We have recommended Daren to lots of our closest friends, and would not hesitate to recommend again.

I recently visited Castle Portraits to have some photos taken of my children who are 2 and 4. The photographer was incredibly patient and the session was relaxed and fun. The images were available for viewing on the web within a few hours and I was very pleased with the end product. Castle Portraits captured our wedding day beautifully. They met us at the venue a few weeks before the big day to discuss what we wanted and get a feel for how the day was going to be. We got everything we asked for and more due to them putting in lot of work in the background getting people together for group photos - which they did with good humour, not interrupting the flow of the day. The photos were online and on disc by the time we returned from honeymoon and when we got back we had a lot of fun putting an album together which Castle Portraits supplied and is the perfect reminder of a very special day. I'm not really sure what to say! They were amazing from start to finish. We met about a month before our wedding at the location we were getting married at, and Darren easily guided me to beautiful spots to have some pictures taken. I was quite specific in my requirements and that was not a problem for them. They worked with such easiness on the day i never felt hounded to have pictures taken! Once we returned from honeymoon i was blown away by how beautiful the pictures were and how each and every moment was captured. From start to finish Daren and his wife Karen, were totally professional and curtious, we met prior to the wedding and were asked how we wanted the day to go, and were given some exceptional idea's to get even more from the day, and on the day Daren showed a natural flair for getting that "special shot" with some very inventive and unique photographs.
At no time did the photographs being taken interupt in the flow of the day, and nothing was too much trouble for Daren, Karen insured that everyone we wanted were in each shot and the brides dress was shown to its full glory.
By the time the guests had been greeted at the reception there was already a framed photograph of the couple on the top table. A very nice touch
The quality of the photographs and the subsiquent album were outstanding.
A truely superb service through out, and we know who we will be booking for the Grandchilds first photographs

Daren is a great photographer who manages to get the correct balance between taking a good amount of photos and not hindering the flow of the wedding. The quality of the photographs are excellent and we are over the moon with the picture book album he designed for us.
